I have been using hand tools for over 50 years as part of my professional joinery work. As such sharpening your own tools is one of those basic skills that is used time and time again.
Mistakes are commonly made assuming that tools straight from the shop are ready to use, however often their sharpening finishes are inadequate and will make using them much more difficult. Also, there is always the need to maintain the tools so they do not become blunt and difficult to work with as they are used.
Over the 2 hours, you will be shown the correct technique in sharpening your own tools and their maintenance so that you can continue doing it yourself.
As part of 2 hours, you will be able to use my grinding wheel and sharpening stone to any edged tool you might have.
On the day please bring:
* Your own safety glasses
* Closed toe shoes
