Samantha Robinson

After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the National Art School in Sydney Australia and following on with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honors) at Sydney College of the Arts, I established my Sydney based ceramic design studio in 2000.

In the years that followed, I have enjoyed having my designs chosen by many Australian master chefs and culinary providers to showcase their own unique creations. Some of which are Longrain, Pheasant, Miss G , Kylie Kwong, Jamie Oliver and many more.

I’ve also had the privilege of exhibiting my work in many end galleries and selling my work through many hand picked boutique retailers with the US, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong being the most prominent.

I have a prolific taste for life, an obsession with colour and mused with the functionality and fearless experimentation through design. My handmade pieces connect a broad spectrum of people from all walks of life.

I am now looking forward to sharing the skills and techniques I have learnt through my career with you!

An amazing experience, I had such a great time! Thanks for everything :) :) :)

I had such a great time with Samantha and Jenny, they were patient and helpful and I learnt a lot. I can’t wait to continue pottery with them next year!

Ok I have just moved to Sydney and I was looking for something to do. Initially I was looking for a wood turning class but the only one I found made rolling pins. Not needing a rolling pin, I stumbled across Sam's pottery classes and on a whim i signed up. So thinking it wasnt the most masculine of artworks, I kept it pretty quiet to my family and friends. But honestly it is AMAZING! The zen like focus you have when spinning clay on a wheel is both calming and exhilarating at the same time! Sam and Alison are both brilliant in instructing and helping when needed providing an atmosphere that is relaxed where you can do what you want but you are never alone when you need it. On top of that, all the chicks I tell on Tinder that I'm doing pottery absolutely love it! Its like they love a guy that gets his hands dirty...if you know what i mean?! Ha ha ha. So I would definitely recommend this class as it is a 9/10...and the only reason it doesnt get the full 10/10 score is because Sam wont tell me what days the hens nights go in! Bhahahahahaha
